Local Operation
Genix runs on your machine. There’s no Genix account, Genix cloud,
or telemetry in
genix-rebuild,
genix-render, or
genix-install.
Your configuration and generations stay local to your machine. Genix does not require you to upload your configuration or generations to a Genix server.
Downloads
Downloads use whatever Gentoo mirrors you have configured. Downloads are therefore subject to the policies and practices of those mirrors and the services involved in delivering them.
Genix does not operate a Genix cloud download service or require downloads to pass through Genix infrastructure.
Telemetry and Tracking
Genix does not intentionally include telemetry in
genix-rebuild,
genix-render, or
genix-install.
Genix does not require analytics, usage tracking, or a Genix account to use its local functionality.
Cookies
Genix does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, analytics, or user profiling.
GitHub
Issues and pull requests are handled through GitHub. Information you submit to GitHub is subject to GitHub’s Privacy Policy .
Please do not post passwords, Wi-Fi credentials, API keys, authentication tokens, private configuration files, or other sensitive information in GitHub issues, pull requests, discussions, or other public Genix project content.
Third-Party Services
Genix may interact with third-party infrastructure when you download software or dependencies, including Gentoo mirrors. Those services operate under their own policies and may process technical information as part of normal network communication.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the functionality, infrastructure, or privacy practices of Genix change. The date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last updated.
